My passion is sharing life stories and knowledge through realistic fiction or personal storytelling. A pivotal chapter in our journey unfolded when my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy. Amid a whirlwind of tests and uncertainty, I found solace in sharing our experiences openly. Armed with resilience, we navigated challenges with grace and humor. Recognizing the lack of resources on navigating such journeys, I took matters into my own hands. I crafted a heartfelt Google slideshow featuring our 'framily'—a blend of family and friends—and shared it widely, sparking conversations and spreading awareness.
The response was incredible! The slides helped prepare kids for our daughter's situation, informed her friends and family, and provided context to her teachers and school nurse. After sharing, families began sharing their own stories and seeking advice on epilepsy. I started receiving calls and eventually connected with a parent who became my publisher, editor, and collaborator. Through our story, I found a way to simplify the medical journey and make a lasting impact.
