You want to provide your customers and guests with a great experience and ensure they leave with positive memories. But for 1 in 5 neurodivergent individuals, a simple trip to a restaurant or a festival can feel like a sensory minefield.
When staff lack the training to support neurodiversity, it leads to social isolation for the guest and a loss of revenue, referrals, and community trust for you. If your team is 'tolerating' differences rather than 'accepting' them, you aren't fully aligning with your mission to serve the whole community.
My goal is to bridge the gap between awareness and true hospitality. I am currently opening select opportunities to partner with local businesses and festivals to conduct initial 'Neuro-Audits.' Together, we can use my 23 years of professional expertise to map out your sensory environment and ensure every brain feels safe and welcome.
CURIOSITY VS. JUDGEMENT
When a guest is overwhelmed, does your team lean in with 'How can I help?' or step back with a stare?
ENGAGING VS. RELUCTANCE
Is your staff excited to meet guest where they are, or do they seem hesitant to break ‘normal’ social norms?
INTENTIONAL PATIENCE VS. RUSHED SERVICE
Does your process allow for the ‘human speed’ of communication, or is the corporate timer more important than the person?
FLEXIBILITY VS. RIGIDITY
Are rules more important than people, or can your team pivot to create a win-win solution?

For 23 years, I have been an educator. For 15 years, I have been a mother navigating the world with a daughter who has epilepsy, ADHD, and is on the autism spectrum. I have seen the world through her eyes, and I have realized that the need for a 'Safe Space' doesn't end when an individual leaves their home or school.
As a mom, teacher, and advocate, my calling is to challenge stigma and cultivate genuine connection. I believe that when we empower staff to nurture the potential of every guest, we foster a stronger, more socially responsible community.
Families like mine deserve to be seen, heard, and welcomed in every part of our community. Let's amplify our voices for change and build a world where different minds make for stronger bonds.
